I was fiddling with Google Trends trying to find out the hottest new fitness craze when I plugged in this little doozy…

I smiled at first when I saw the huge New Year’s resolutions spike for all these search terms but then I felt a tad glum after seeing it all go back to square one by early March. I just wanted to implore any lazy bones out there to march to the beat of different drum this time – or more accurately sprint with your favorite iPod. Don’t join the failed resolution crowd or the ‘It’s still beach season’ gym-goer spike in July. As I mentioned in this post don’t wait for a certain time to starting getting healthy, your brain may be trained for failure at that point. Take an arbitrary day like Today and just go for it. Start your fitness zagging while the world is zigging already, your life depends on it.
